The CAP seeks to improve the care for persons living with asthma through facilitating a continuous quality improvement process within health centers. Improving asthma patient education by primary care doctors through the use of National Asthma Education and Prevention Program (NAEPP) guidelines, strengthening patient/provider communication by education health care professionals about different communication strategies, and increasing reimbursement for asthma care provided in the primary care physician's practice are several ways CAP is working towards helping asthma patients and providers.
