The Asthma H.E.L.P. program, which stands for healthcare, environment, learning and prevention, is a program originating and carried out through Midtown Catholic Charities Community Services, and now more recently St. Jane Catholic Charities Community Services. Each center uses methods within each of the four areas to bring resources to families dealing with the near epidemic of asthma in urban neighborhoods. Caseworkers from Midtown and St. Jane Center visit families of children with asthma and work with them to achieve better asthma control and improved quality of life.
