Objective:
The Consortium created the Barriers & Resources Committee to improve access to asthma care by addressing barriers at the individual, system, and community level. A key advancement is the committee's work to provide free assistance by telephone for those with asthma. The committee is also working to Improve the accessibility of entertaining and engaging asthma-related, educational, multimedia presentations. Multilingual asthma education materials are also being developed for dissemination into the immigrant and non-English speaking community.
